DescriptionIntern Project:
The YMCA is an organization built to serve the community.
The Youth Sports Intern would assist the Regional Sports Director and/or Sports Coordinator and execute all youth sports leagues, activities and camps.
This includes marketing and promoting, creating rosters and schedules, interacting and planning with sites, vendors, referees, coaches and parents, along with overseeing all events.
The goal of the YMCA and the Youth Sports Programs is to provide kids with a safe, fun and competitive environment to learn and grow in all aspects of sports.
Qualifications and Desired skills:
Good organizational and execution skills, focus on detail Strong team player who can work independently Enjoys collaborating and takes directions from other team mates High level of written and oral communication.
Good knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint Excellent customer service required Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate with Field or Gym Monitors on the needs for each weekends programs Assist with creation of rosters and schedules Managing and following up with coaches on any roster, schedule or site changes Assist in identifying potential programs or marketing ideas Work on building relationships with potential vendors or sponsors Interns who apply for the YMCA Internship will learn all the necessary skills to provide them with the tools and resources to connect organizations for better membership engagement and services.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
